Boats & Watercrafts - Rules, Information & Registration

General Rules and Information - Watercraft

  • All watercrafts are required to have $1,000,000 CAD or $300,000 US public liability insurance.
  • Watercrafts must be parked in designated areas only.
    • Parking areas are behind Shady Lane and just before Gulliver's Landing beside the waterslides. The Shady Lane parking area is primarily for sailboats, while the Gulliver's area is primarily power boats.
    • Your watercraft should be registered with Security prior to parking in the areas. Watercraft that are parked in a non-designated parking spot are subject to removal.
  • All operators of powered watercraft used for recreational purposes within Canada require a Pleasure Craft Operator Card. Click here for more information.

Registration

Watercraft, including such things as jet skis and boats must be registered if they will be operated from the property of Sherkston Shores.  This includes any watercraft parked on the property or launching into Lake Erie from within the private property of Sherkston Shores.  This will assist the Security Team in identifying your watercraft in the event of a water emergency.  This is also important in identifying the owner in the event of such incidents as parking infractions, lost and found and others.  Affix the registration to the trailer carrying the watercraft in a clearly visible location.

Ways to Register

Online: Click here to register your watercraft online.

By Phone: 905-894-0972 ext 211

Please complete one registration per watercraft.
