Invalid Work Requests

There are some work requests that are not accepted and are the responsibility of the owner.

  • Air conditioning repairs and maintenance
  • Grass cutting: Grass cutting is done on a set schedule, once per week and does not require a work request. Weather permitting, grass is cut on Mondays and Tuesdays, with weed trimming done on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Fridays are reserved for areas that require push mowers, such as sites or areas that the riding mowers cannot access. Push mowers are only used in cases where we physically cannot access the area any other way.
    • Rain, extreme weather and other emergencies can affect our lawn maintenance schedule, but rest assured, we will get back on track as soon as possible.
    • Should you wish to maintain your own lawn, please contact the Welcome Centre for a designated sign advising our team of this. No grass cutting or trimming will be done on your site if this sign is visible.
  • Fire pits are not provided or maintained by the resort.
  • Interlocking brick; driveways, walk ways or path are to be installed at the cost of the owner. A permit application must be submitted prior to completing any work of this nature. Please click here for information on permits.
  • Propane; Sherkston only refills propane tanks and completes safety tests upon delivery. The propane system, consisting of the regulator and hoses are the owner's responsibility.
  • Patio tables and/or picnic tables are not supplied by Sherkston Shores. Replacement or repairs are the responsibility of the owner.
  • Sand; sand is an ongoing issue throughout the resort, especially on sites closest to the beaches. Our team works very hard to keep sand to a minimum and typically does this job during downtime.
  • WiFi; the free WiFi access is available in all areas of the resort, however connection quality may vary depending on the amount of devices connected and bandwidth usage at any one time. If you are having technical or connection issues, please contact the supplier directly.
  • GFI/Outdoor power outlets; outdoor power outlets are the responsibility of the owner or their electrician/contractor of choice, with the exception of Hickory Lanes, Gulliver's Landing and Wyldewood Beach Club.
  • Beach raking & maintenance; this is a regularly scheduled task and does not require a work order request.
  • Wildlife; Sherkston is not responsible for removing or capturing any pests/rodents living in the resort or on your site. Please visit the Contractor List to find an approved contractor for the issue.
